Well, it turns out that I’ve been soooo busy eating delicious fodder so that I can give you the low-down on the best places to gorge in this wondrous town of ours, that I forgot to write the bit ‘about’ me.

I call myself ‘The Stamford Foodie’ because, I, er, live in Stamford (have done for over ten years) and I am a self-confessed foodie (stating the obvious, right?)

You will regularly find me out in Stamford, whether for a romantic meal with the hubby, nights out with friends, or just grabbing coffee with the kiddies in tow and I am always blown away by how well food lovers are catered for here. There are so many wonderful and interesting places to eat and drink; whether you want an extravagant, blow-out meal for a special occasion, a bite to eat whilst out shopping or a quick, much needed coffee or cuppa, there are an abundance of places to choose from and something to suit all tastes; then you have all the specialist foodie retailers who make Stamford a must-visit for gastronomes, plus the Friday/ Saturday markets that draw in crowds from near and far, that really are a cut-above the markets found in neighbouring towns and I want to champion all of these great foodie businesses and share them with you get the best foodie experiences out of the town.

It’s probably worth mentioning here, that I also do a lot of shopping in the town’s supermarkets (regular gal, regular food budget) so expect posts about the exciting foods that I find, or meals I have created, using ingredients bought there, rather than from specialists.

And I will also be sharing posts from my other foodie blog, The Sugar Bear, which is where I share prettier pictures of food and drinks that I make, rather than the candid shots you are more likely to see here.

If you want to join me on my explorative food journey of Stamford and surrounding area, then please do follow my blog or join my Facebook group here.

Until next time,

The Stamford Foodie.
